Round robin divisions are awarded first by wins, then by points, then by head-to-head matchup. (Exception: when top 2 finishers have equal # of wins, head to head winner is 1st regardless of points) 3 way round robin ties are decided by fastest Ippon

To estimate your match time, multiply your match number by 3 minutes. Example:
Match #40 is calculated as follows: 40 x 3 = 120 minutes = 2 hours. 9am start time + 2 hours = match time 11am. Be ready 30 minutes before match time. Report to your assigned mat 5 matches before your scheduled match.
JUNIORS AND MASTERS:
We will use “Madison Bracketing” whereby the age and weight
cutoffs will be set after
online registration closes
on 9/13. This system
allows nearly everyone to compete with a minimal
number of uncontested entrants and discourages
unhealthy weight loss.
Women: 44, 48, 52, 57, 63, 70, 78, over 78

Bracket type will be decided based on the number registered athletes for each Female and Male divisions. 2 will be best 2 of 3, 3-5 will be a true round robin, 6 or more will be a true double elimination.

Juniors (ranked below Brown belt) Senior Novice
Juniors (ranked Brown belt and above) Senior Elite

*Junior competitors may fight
up one age or weight
group as a second or third division
1st, 2nd, & 3rd place medals
for each division. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place team awards
based on 3 points for first, 2 points for second,
and 1 point for third place in all divisions combined. No points awarded for
1st place in the Open Weight division will receive $500 and a medal
